A mix of native animals from the northern Rockies and exotic animals from around the world make their home at ZooMontana. Animals are kept in exhibits that resemble their natural environments, and visitors can see the majestic Siberian tiger sun in the grass or swim in the water and watch bighorn sheep scrabble over rocks. The zoo also holds three gardens including a sensory garden and garden that requires almost no watering in the arid Billings climate. It is located on 70 acres of land situated eight miles southwest of downtown Billings.
