The Western Heritage Center uses displays, exhibits, and the personal oral histories of many Billings inhabitants to tell the stories of the people of the Yellowstone Valley. The "Billings: First 125 Years" exhibit relays the colorful history of the region through a combination of historic characters, artifacts from around the country, local radio and television broadcasts, and much more. The museum is located in the heart of the city, west of the Conoco Oil Refinery.
